Red rock dawg
A life fit for a king
There's something about the cooler weather after a big rain that brings out the fun in everyone. Of late, the evening crowd at the dog park has been a tad unenthusiastic. Even Connie's big bag of toys has only brought a slight lift to our dragging butts. But this week there has been a lot of rain, and today I heard a mighty downpour while I was on duty at my day job (more about that in another post). By the time I'd chivvied my mum over to the dog park, it was dry and cool, and I could tell all the dogs were excited about it. There was all sorts of wrassling, chasing, barking and general delight at this pleasant weather. Even Buddy ran his short, little legs all over the place playing with the new girl, Ginger. Everyone was on their paws tonight, chasing balls, squeaking piggies or running after someone else chasing a ball. Really, we did do a lot of running, even it looks like we were just standing around. Look, here's Buddy and Ginger doing some crazy acrobatics.

Part Chow, part German shepherd and part monkey, at least that's what my mum says about me. I've been living in these parts for most of my life, which began in 2011. ArchivesCategories |
